PocBox V2

Emergency Center Alerting Console for NexSIS 18-112

Description

PocBOX V2 is the brand-new alerting console developed by TPL Systèmes specifically for the NexSIS 18-112 alerting software, in close collaboration with ANSC (Agence du Numérique et de la Sécurité Civile).

PocBOX V2 triggers the pagers of a rescue center under its coverage from the NexSIS 18-112 information and command system.
The connection between the NexSIS 18-112 central system and the rescue center PocBOX V2s is made via the Gateway TPL software.

The Gateway TPL is positioned at the CTA/CODIS of an SDIS and enables the management of different communication vectors:

  • Connection to an IP network (VPN etc...)
  • Connection to a 4G/Lte mobile telephony network
  • Connection to the TAA radio vector via a BER Antares

These different vectors will enable SDIS to obtain a reliable, secure and redundant triggering of its intervention teams. The TPL Gateway is installed in a virtualized environment and can be redundant. Using an SNMP monitoring tool, it will be easy to supervise the Gateway and its connected consoles.

Thanks to its latest-generation microprocessor with on-board Linux, PocBOX V2 incorporates a web server enabling local triggering of center personnel, either via a computer connected to the network, or via a keyboard and mouse connection. In addition to triggering personnel and teams, this web server enables the PocBOX V2 console to be parameterized and supervised locally.

In terms of securing POCSAG broadcasts, PocBOX V2 can be equipped with 2 POCSAG transmitters in the same frequency band, with one operating as a backup in the event of a problem with the main transmitter (antenna, power, VSWR problems, etc.). All POCSAG transmissions are controlled radio-electrically by a built-in receiver.
PocBOX V2 can be configured with 2 POCSAG transmitters on 2 different frequency bands, if the SDIS is equipped with 85Mhz and 173Mhz pagers for example.

PocBOX V2 can also work with the old DM1G transmitters of the ERCS, otherwise TPL Systèmes has developed a new POCSAG transmitter TP80 for the 85Mhz band and TP160 for the 136-174Mhz band; incorporating latest-generation components and capable of being synchronized. This synchronization, known as ZAS (Zone d'Appel Synchronisée), enables several PocBOX V2 transmitters from different rescue centers to be synchronized, thus creating an extended coverage zone.

Each PocBOX V2 must be equipped with an external GPS antenna and ZAS license.
The PocBOX V2 console is powered by a 12V mains adapter (supplied) or a customer-supplied 12V DC power supply. A back-up battery can be connected, as PocBOX V2 incorporates a genuine battery charger equipped with all the necessary protections (voltage management during charging or maintenance, low voltage detection, protection against overvoltage, reverse polarity, etc.).

Housed in a 2U-high 19“ rack made of electro-galvanized steel with a brushed aluminum front panel, PocBOX V2 can be integrated into a 19” computer rack or simply placed on a table, thanks to its rubber feet.

Finally, the optional “LoRa gateway” card can be fitted, enabling the SDIS to deploy its own IoT network and manage hundreds of communicating sensors.

The PocBOX V2 console is the revolutionary “Swiss Army knife” for alerting and triggering POCSAG pagers.

A TPL Systèmes innovation 100% developed, manufactured and assembled in France.
